Happy Thrusday Stampers!
Boy! Are we having great spring weather here in California! The sun is shining, the skies are blue and breezy air blowing thru my back patio.  I so LOVE spring weather!
So today’s card I made was for a challenge which I believe is my 1st one to try at Stamps And Smiles.  I saw the sketch and I new I can work with this one.  I also wanted to use my stamps that I have bought a while back over at TreeHouseStamps.  So here is Thrusday Sketch over at Stamps and Smiles Blog.
I love angels so much that I was so excited to cut my mounted rubber stamps and start working on this sooooo cute angel stamp.

Design paper from Nana’s Nursery Premium Pack from DCWV. Love this collection because the colors are perfect for spring and have a shine to it.  Dark brown base card stock is from Martha Stewart Collection.  Green cardstock is from DCWV. 
I used my sewing machine and sewed all 4 parts of the mats with a light tan embroidery thread using a single stitch line.  I so love-love to use my sewing machine will my cards.  

This so adorable Angel stamp is from my good-good friend Ashley from TreeHouseStamps.  Such a talented girl that she is the design ower of this cute stamp Angel image.  Isn’t she so precious?  I finally bought some Copic colors and used it to color the angel.  I stamped her twice and cut her out and made her dimensional and added lots of pop-ups.  As for the heart I stamped her 3 times and cut it out to pop it up! Used my sewing machine again and did a zig-zag stitch.
I love the sentiment “Friends are Kisses blown to us by Angels”  Stamped it with a chocolate brown ink.  Had this pretty flower I had and used it along with some satin green ribbon.

Mojo Monday….back on the track again!

Mojo Monday….back on the track again!
Hey there all happy stampers!
Happy Monday to ya!!   It’s been about a week since I haven’t blogged.  Which means I haven’t made a card for a week!  Don’t get me wrong, I have been reading and following my fave blogs but for some reason my spark crafty engine has been down on the low side lately.  #1 because I’ve been sick with this miserable cold.  I worked a long week at the hospital and being exposed to sick people of course I had to catch something alright! So I’ve been sick for 4 days feeling miserable and blahhh!  
This whole week I spent it resting and relaxing.  Knowing that I had to go to work today, I just didn’t feel WELL enough to take care of other people in the hospital.  So I had to call in sick today.  So after eating a good breakfast and loading up on AlkaSeltzer Cold Plus, Mucinex and Airbourne and drinking lots of H2o………….by golly I feel a lot better.  (Sigh!) The power of medicine……lol!
I missed out on so many challenges that I decided to do a Challenge and this time for Mojo Monday.   So here is the card I submitted! Pretty easy layout I would think.  

The design paper I used was by Heidi Grace designs.

For the top layer of the card I did a little distressing with Walnut Stain Distress Ink.

I had these small yellow buttons from Basic grey but I felt it needed for of a touch, so I added some gemstones from HeroArts to them.  I did some sewing on the edge of the card.  I LOVE using my sewing machine as much has I can.  Added a little bow to the corner and my stamp image I printed out and wa’la!
