Hey Stampers!  Bienvenido!!……Welcome!!!

My dad’s birthday is coming up this Sunday, February 21st so I started today in my craft room a birthday card for him.  I’m so excited because this Sunday me and my hubby are going over to my sister in law’s house and were having a family get together to celebrate my dad’s birthday! Can’t wait to see everyone and eat lot’s of Guatemalan and Mexican food!….Yummmmmy!!! Oh? but wait…..can’t forget the carne asada!!!

My dad’s fave colors are blue, green and brown. So I used a paper pack from Making Memories called Paperie Poolside & Greenhouse. You can get this 6×6 paper pad at Treehouse Stamps.  I used 5 different patterns from this pack. Since I love using my sewing machine I did some zig zag stitching on each layer.

For the Spanish birthday sentiment I just printed that out from my computer and distress the paper a little bit with Tim Holtz distress ink.  Added some Olive color ribbon to the top right corners, also from Treehouse Stamps.  Used a lot of pop dots on both layers.  Added a small metal brad and all done.  It was very easy and simple to do.  The only thing I forgot to do when I was typing the sentiment was to add a “tilde” that’s the little squiggly thing {~) over the letter “ñ”……..lol!  I think I’ll just write it in.

Card measure 4 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches.

Happy Tuesday and as well Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

This card I made for this weeks PaperTake Weekly Challenge.  This weeks challenge is to make a card with an image that is edible.  When I saw the info for this challenge I for sure wanted to use my cupcake clear stamps from Stampendous called “Hey There Cupcake”, which I haven’t used for some time.

I wanted again to do another clear acetate card. So I used some of my left over transperency paper I had left over from the previous card I made for last weeks PTWC

I did a double straight line stitch to both sides with my sewing machine. I LOVE using my sewing machine when I do cards. I think it gives it an extra touch when I make my cards.  Pink satin ribbon is from TreeHouseStamps ……another stamp store I really, really  love to shop at. 
For my cupcake I stamped the image twice and made it deminsional. Added my sentiment “Hey There Sweetie”.  Colored it with my Prisma Color Pencils and added lots and lots of Stickles…ummm, Yummy!   Added 3 HeroArts Gemstones  at tope right corner for the finale……lol!

Hey friends! I’m on the roll here with 2 challenges I did for today. The 2nd post is down below for 3 Clover Thursday Challenge.
My other favorite blog that I so love, love!  Kristina’s Werner Color Inspiration #43 Challenge.

I decided to do a birthday card because birthdays are so common everyday, and I always like to have a card handy to give.  This card came out ok, it’s not girly like I’m so used to with flowers, ribbions and pink bows…..lol!  But I thought it came out not too bad!  I think I pulled it off with the colors for the Color Inspiration Challenge!

Mojo Monday Challenge…For A Friday!

Mojo Monday Challenge…For A Friday!
Happy Friday!…………Yey!!!  TGIF!!!
Seriously! This week has been so so B-U-S-Y! I’m not kidding! All the things I love to do have been on hold for these past few days!  Work at the hospital has been really, really super busy! I kid you not!!  But in one way it is good because with the news of how the economy is going it is extremely so sad to hear that a lot of business are closing and a lot of people with no jobs!
I thank GOD everyday that I wake up knowing that I have not been cancelled from my job. We’ve been so super busy lately at the hosptial where I work at.  And I think I’ll be ok in keeping my job as an RN.  When there are sick people there is only 1 option, either you go to the doctor or your doctor will admit you to the hospital and that’s where I come in and taking you in and admitting you.  
I sincerely LOVE, LOVE what I do for a living! I love it with a passion just as much has I LOVE doing crafts!  Seriously! I really do!  
And talking about passion!…..lol!  I’ve been away from blogging for a couple of days because I’ve been so busy with work that time for stamping and cardmaking really couldn’t fit in my everyday busy schedule.  But guess what??  I’m off for 3 days which means………..STAMPING!!!
So this is the funny part!  Even thou it’s Friday, I’m barely doing my Mojo Monday card.  Yeah! I know it’s Friday but I got till Sunday to submit this one.  So I’m still in time!  If I can just squeeze this one in, I’m a happy camper!!
So here is todays card for Mojo Monday!  And the sketch to follow.
And here is the card I came up with.  I’m trying to remember 
where I bought this Whiff Of Joy Stamp at?? ………….Oh! yeah!  I got this stamp from my good friend Ashley from her store called TreeHouseStamps.  She has the cutest stamps on the block here. This stamp is called Celebrating Mouse.

Here is a close up of this cutie little critter! I stamped this image twice and cut it out and mounted it on pop ups and layed it over to give it a dimensional look.  
Here is a another close up view how it looks raised up.  I added lots of Stickles to it. Looks like such a yummy cupcake!
Thanks for taking a peek at my blog and looking at my crafty creations.  I’m off to make me a snack.  For some reason I’m craving a PB&J sandwich with chocolate milk!………..lol!

Over The Rainbow Challenge

Happy Friday Stampers!……well sort of in a way.  Our weather here in South California kinda sucks today.  It’s raining and clouds are grey…….kinda sucks!  But now that I’m thinking about it, this weather is perfect for this challenge I’m doing at {capture the moment}.
Has we all know after the rain falls, once in a while we get lucky to see a rainbow.  And this challenge is perfect for today……..it’s called Over The Rainbow Challenge!  So I thought I give it a try. What’s cool about the challenge is that one lucky winner will win……yes! Win some goodies from PaperTrey.
This is they’re very 1st challenge. Here are the colors that you need to follow.  If you want to give it a try you have to hurry! It ends manana!
And here is my card I came up with using the similar colors.  I bought this cute, cute stamp set from my good friend Ashley Bowen who has a store called TreeHouseStamps. This stamp set is called Snail Mail.  It’s such a cute, cute stamp set.  It comes with 10 senitments.  She also carries a lot of cute, cutsie stuff over at her store. 

Supplies used: DCWV cardstock, Heidi Grace design paper. Stamps: Studio G Clear Stamps, Snail Mail by TreeHouseStamps, Flowers from Ensembly by Brandy. Imaged colored with Prisma color pencils and Gamsol.
