Hey There Chic!! Treehouse Thursday Challenge #37

Happy Thursday Stampers!

It’s another fun Thursday over at The Treehouse Blog! Today’s fun challenge is to include paper piecing somewhere on your card or project using any theme.

Since I love using my sewing technique on my cards, I thought I incorporate my creation to today’s challenge.  Today’s image I’m using is from a new release that is coming soon over at Treehouse Stamps on February 24th, 2010.  Easter is coming soon, so I thought I get started on some Easter cards. This image set is called Easter Chicks.  I opened Treehouse Digi image on Photoshop and colored the image using my color palette brush. The  sentiment is also from Treehouse Stamps.  I printed it out and cut it with my circle nesti.  To find this image and a whole lot more visit Treehouse Stamps! Card measures 3 1/2 x 4 1/2 inches.

{Hey Chickie!} Supplies:

Paper: Kraft CS from PTI, Creame CS from Joann’s, Design Paper from DCWV

Digital Image: Easter Chicks from Treehouse Stamps

Embellies: Border Punch from EK Success, Heroarts Gemstones, Circle Nesties, Ribbon from Michael’s, Zig Zag stitching with sewing machine, Pop dots.

PTI Bitty Dot Sketch Challenge

Happy Late Saturday Stampers! Yeah, this one is really late! Usually post in the morning or afternoon. But today was a busy day…………you know house chores….a laudry here, a little there, dishes here and there!…..HATE doing chores! Yeah! don’t we all!
So whats up with PaperTrey, boy are they really on the roll with challenges and prizes! OMGosh! Seriously!  This was a real different challenge and sketch to try! This one was real fun to do!  I was looking up at other crafters blogs and couldn’t tell what the sketch was all about.  Was it flowers?……buttons?……Ah! must be polka dots?…..nope.  What was killing me was I couldn’t print my PDF because my printer was totally dead!  NO INK!!! Ahhhhh!  So I had to wait in the morning and run over to Best Buy!
Well finally I got ink into my printer and was able to to the connect to dot challenge!  Boy! It’s been YEARS since I played connect the dots!  Was so much to find out what was to be created.
So here are the rules to follow at {capture the moment}:

And by connecting the dots you come out a this sketch layer.  I had these Jolee’s Boutique -Sping Time embellishment stickers and I thought I would use them for a change instead of doing stamping……well actually I only stamped the sun…..lol!  And this is what I created!
I went to Michale’s just to look, but you never come out of that store empty handed! Seriously, I try to but I can’t put down stuff I was touching or put in my basket saying…..ummm! Maybe.  I ended up buying 12×12 design paper by Martha Stewart along with her matching 8×8  bright paper pad, along with ribbon and color chalk ink……..yeah! I’m so bad!  Shhh! don’t my hubby!  hahaha! Lol!!  But too late…….he saw me coming in the door and said…..What you buy???  I told him…..ummm! nothing honey and walked fast to my craft room laughing!
Supplies used: DP by Martha Stewart classic botanical paper, 8×8 bright paper pad by Martha Stewart, Pink paper by K&Company, Sun stamp by SU inked with Martha Stewart Chalk Ink in Dandelion, SpringTime Stickers by Jolee’s, Buttons by Basic Grey, Ribbon in the $1.00 section at Michaels….(Yeah! $1.00….awesome isn’t!) and white stitching with my sewing machine.

Happy Friday Stampers!……well sort of in a way.  Our weather here in South California kinda sucks today.  It’s raining and clouds are grey…….kinda sucks!  But now that I’m thinking about it, this weather is perfect for this challenge I’m doing at {capture the moment}.
Has we all know after the rain falls, once in a while we get lucky to see a rainbow.  And this challenge is perfect for today……..it’s called Over The Rainbow Challenge!  So I thought I give it a try. What’s cool about the challenge is that one lucky winner will win……yes! Win some goodies from PaperTrey.
This is they’re very 1st challenge. Here are the colors that you need to follow.  If you want to give it a try you have to hurry! It ends manana!
