Get Well Wishes

Get Well Wishes

Hello Crafty Friends! Today I share with you a card I made using the Shirt Cut Out from The Silhouette Online Library.  My friend Catarina from Docerela Creations is asking for some get well cards for her friend that is in the hospital. Since I’m a nurse, I thought I would send her a get well card that has meaning to me.  Since we wear scrub tops, I thought this image would be cute to make as a scrub top card.

I used DCWV Cardstock in Coral color.  I added a stethoscope and hand printed a little heart, and added some red stickles. I cut out a small little red nurses cross and attached it to the top pocket.

Creepy Crawly……Eeeek!!!

Booooo!!!!!  Are u scared?

Creepy Day Crafters!!! Hope you are starting your weekend with a good start!  I have another fun card I created the other day!!  I’m having so much fun playing with my new software Make The Cut!  It’s so much fun and easy to use….I’m hooked and addicted to it!!

Since I’m still in the Halloween creepy mood, I thought I create another fun creepy crawly card!  I don’t know about you crafters but one thing I really dislike and get the creepy crawlys are spiders!! Honestly, I cannot stand them….Uh!!!!!  But since Halloween is all about Jeepers Creepers I thought I make a frightfully creepy one!!

I told you it would be kinda creepy………..but yet I really like how it turned out!!  I cut this image Black Widow Spider from my Silhoutte Library.  I designed my own “Creepy” word font.  I used Bloody Stump font that I downloaded from a free website.  Amazing how many fun fonts for free are out there in the web world……….thousands and they’re all freeeee!!! :)  I added red stickles to the word and some on the red marking on the black widow’s body!

For the Boo border, I used my EK Success Boo Border Punch. For the blood dripping border I got that from my Silhouette Library, it’s called Blood Border.  For the ribbon, that I bought from Micheals in the $1.00 bin :)  The red button is from Basic Grey.  I used Kraft Cardstock that I had bought from PaperTrey Ink!! I LOVE LOVE they’re Kraft CS….Awesome quality paper!!!

Stayed tuned, I have another fun pumpkin card I created using more fun images from The Silhouette Online Store.

New Hobby!

New Hobby!
New Hobby!

Hey there crafters!  Like I said in my previous post, it’s been a while since I’ve posted anything crafty.  I’ve been doing other fun things before the heat wave hit us here in California, I was doing a lot of baking!  I have a baking blog, you can check it out over at Sweet Bakes Of Mine.  But with the hot, humid and price of AC, well its not really a good idea for me to bake in this hot weather.

I recently started to take some sewing classes at my local craft store at Joann’s.  I’m totally hooked and I love it!!  My only problem is getting used to reading the patterns and understanding some of the techniques.  So, I decided to do some research and get some Sewing 101 books and learn how to sew talk…..lol!!

So here is what I’ve been up to lately.  I absolutely love these books!!  They’re so highly recommend at Amazaon.com and thought I buy them check them out! It has all the information for a beginner sewer like me!

Book 1: Reader’s Digest Complete Guide to SewingBook 2: Singer – The Complete Photo Guide To Sewing ( 1200 Full-Color How-to Photos)
Book 3:The Complete Book Of Sewing – A Practical Step-by-Stem Guide To Sewing Techniques

I definitely have a lot to catch up and read.  But I think once I have the basics down, I hope to sew a lot of fun crafty stuff!  But my main goal in sewing is make my own scrub tops and scrub pants.

Thanks for stopping by!! If your a new beginner sewer like me and have some fun creative projects, comment and I love to visit your blog!!!

Coming Soon!!!

Coming Soon!!!

Pardon the dust and mess, but my blog is currently under construction. I’m moving some things around and changing the layout. Crossing my fingers I can get this done and over with very quickly and nothing goes terribly wrong.

It’s been a long long time since I posted or made anything for my ScrapyCrafterCreations blog.  I’ve been into another different hobby……Baking! But with this HOT, HUMID weather we’ve been having here in California I can’t seen to enjoy it!!

So now, I’m back!! I’ve been making projects in my craft room but it mostly deals with fabric.  Yes, I started to sew.  I have my moments one day I feel like scrapbooking, other days card making and then baking! But now I have this itch of sewing!  I love to sew!  I’ll be posting some projects that I have made.  But for now, I’m trying to update my blog.  So stay posted!  I’ll be back real soon!!!

Everything should be working like normal while I make the changes.

Updates!

Updates!

Well hello there crafty friends!

Yeah, it’s been a looooong time since I posted anything! But it’s been super busy and hectic here at The Rodriguez house….lol! :)

We’ve been remodeling our house and that means my craft room hasn’t been very easy to get in to! We’ve been moving things here and there and pretty much it has taken over my craft room.  But I do have to say we are almost done!  We got one of our bathrooms done and now we are working on our Master Bathroom. So little by little we are accomplishing a lot!

2ndly, I’ve been spending a lot of time with my baby nephew Jacob! If you can see from the previous postings and scrapbooking he was just  teeny weeny baby! Well, now he’s 4 months old and he’s getting big!  I be posting some new scrapbook pages I did for our Christmas gathering.  Lots of pics to scrapbook but so little time! :(

So, for you who leave here in California or nearby Los Angeles, isn’t it a bummer that this year CHA in Los Angeles isn’t open to the public!!! I’m so sad!!! I had lots of fun last year! I got to meet MyPinkStamper – Robyn and her bff Kaylee! So it kinda sucks that this year it’s not going to happen! Oh well, maybe hopefully next year!!

Well have a good one!!!
