Celebrate Today With Sketchy Thursdays!

Celebrate Today With Sketchy Thursdays!

Hey Happy Stampers! Happy Tuesday to ya!

I’m so excited because I’m getting so much accomplished with my scrapbook pages. For today’s layout, I did a challenge for Sketchy Thursday’s & also celebrating Heidi’s Birthday {co-founder of ST}…..“Happy Sweet Birthday” to ya Heidi!

I’m so loving these challenges so much!  It’s not just about layouts every Thursday, they have fun challenge layouts just about everyday! For this challenge, it’s for sure up my alley because the theme is using this sketch above and using a “celebration” theme and the color green. And I have to say that green is my fave, fave color too! This is what I created!

{Celebrate Today} layout supplies:

Kraft CS, Design Paper from Me & My Big Ideas and Basic Grey. Ribbon from Basic Grey, Flowers -Prima, Buttons – Forever In Time, Celebrate Today cut out from Quikutz Silhouette.  Stamp image – Hero Arts

Paper Flowers Page Layout

Happy Monday Stampers!

For this scrapbook page layout I wanted to try out a new way to create flowers. I’ve seen so many tutorials on YouTube showing so many ways to create paper flowers.

To create the red flowers, what I did was I used my scallop nesties and cut out 3 layers and glue them together and decorated it with a Basic Grey Button……easy huh!  For the next one, don’t know how this one turned out. I basically cut my design paper by hand and layered it with another button.  Didn’t turn out too bad I guess…..lol! :)

For the rest of the page,  I used 12×12 Kraft Cardstock which I absolutely love, love to use! Used Frost Glimmer Mist and just misted it all over the cardstock.  Cut out my blue paper and did some zig-zag stitching on the corners.  For the Green Polka dot paper, I punched it with my large scallop puncher from EK Success and did some ziz-zag stitching and stitched both pieces of paper together.

For the journaling I used Heroarts Journaling stamp tags. Applied some lace and Heroarts Gemstons.

In the picture, well that’s me and my hubby at Catalina Island, Ca.

Have a scrappy-lious good day! :)

Happy Friday Stampers!

I came by this blog called Sketchy Thursday’s and simply LOVE, LOVE the idea of they’re Thursday fun Scrapbook Layout Challenge’s. This is my 1st time playing along with Sketchy Thursday’s and hope to do more of they’re challenges every Thursday. I have so many pics to scrapbook! :)

For my Sketchy Thursday layout, I used cream cardstock that I bought in a bundle from CHA in Anaheim, California. Next I tore and distress the edges of the design paper from DCWV. I used Tim Holtz distress Inks and then Glimmer Misted the page. I really like how my edges came out.

For the “Lucky” frame, I downloaded it from the Quikutz Silhouette Library.  Used Glimmer Mist to give it a little bit of sparkle instead of having the cardstock look so dull. For the right side of the page I cut pieces of design paper I had for while, some are from Basic Grey, Me & My Big Ideas and stitched it together.  Used Basic Grey Ribbon and little flowers for details on each end.  Used some blue Victorian lace and added Heroarts Pearls for a nice detail. For the small “Beautiful Label”  journal frame I cut that out as well from my Silhouette Library. I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink and Glimmer Mist it.  The only thing it was kinda of hard for me to do some journaling because of the inks and Glimmer Mist……but oh well! Not too bad for a 1st time try for a Challenge.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a scrappy good day!

So Sweet….

So Sweet….

Hey Stampers! Happy Wednesday to ya!

Ok, so I’m going through this mood right now that I’ve been really interested in doing some scrapbook pages. I’ve noticed when going through my computer files that I have tons and tons of pics but no where are they printed and placed in a album….how sad! So, I decided that this year I’m going to go back to where it all started. Yes, I’m going to start scrapbooking my pictures. I remember many years ago that’s what I used to love doing! But then lately, I got into card making and then my scrapbooking hobby just started to fade away. I’ll definitely continue to do cards but need to start scrapbooking some of my pictures I have in my computer files.

So to start with a new fresh to this blog, here is my 1st layout I did last night. Something simple nothing fancy. I really love how it turned out.
