Valentine Treat Boxes

Valentine Treat Boxes

Happy Friday y’all!!! Wooo-Hooo!!! Finally!!!

I made these small Valentine Treat Boxes for my peeps at the hospital I work at! These were so simple to make and I had so much fun making them.  Each small box fits 2 treats or 1 mini packet of M&M’s.  Don’t ask how many I made but I can tell you for a fact I work with a lot of nurses that LOVE chocolate!….lol! But I know for sure that my team of nurses will enjoy them! Who can’t resist chocolate right?

Here’s a small video I made show you the box treats. Hope you enjoy!!!

I opened the Pillow and Treat boxes file from my QK Library Silhouette and cut them out in my KNK Groove-e. Pillow Boxes measure 3.75 x 2 inches and the Treat box measure 3×3 inches.

Valentine Treats for Treehouse Thursday Challenge #36

Valentine Treats for Treehouse Thursday Challenge #36

Happy Sweet Thursday Stampers!

It’s another fun Thursday Challenge over at The Treehouse Blog.  Today’s theme is to create a card, scrapbook page or anything crafty with the theme “LOVE“.  And since this Sunday is Valentine’s Day, I wanted to create a special Valentine Treat box for my friend with yummy chocolate treats in it!

For today’s project, I used Treehouse Digital image called “Your Hand In Mine”, which is available now over at Treehouse Stamps. I opened the digi image on my Photoshop Elements and used the color palette to color my image in. Once it was colored in I printed it out.

The treat box is from my Quikutz Silhouette Library and I cut it out on my KNK Groove-e!  Once it was all cut out, I assembled it together.  I used red sticky tape instead of regular adhesive tape to put it together.  Added some pink satin ribbon, flower and bling.  Now it all needs some sweet candy to put inside.

Meet Groove-e!

Meet Groove-e!

Hey Stampers!

Happy Birthday to me! wooo-hooo! Actually I shouldn’t be that excited because that means I’m getting a year older! But I’m excited to show you what my hubby had bought me for my birthday!

Ladies, I want you to meet my new KNK Groove-e! Isn’t he cute!!! It’s a big machine,  but a very powerful one too! I still have my Quikutz Silhouette and I do intend to keep it but not sure for how long.  It was my very first baby machine and it’s so hard to let go……lol!  I {heart} {heart} my new KNK Groove-e it’s so awesome!

I made a video on how it cuts.  So take a look.

So why did I choose a KNK? Well let me tell ya!  At first I wanted a Cricut because it cuts 12×12 paper and the Silhouette doesn’t. But then my hubby told me about this machine and I was so blown away about how fast and how much pressure this machine can cut! Seriously, this machine can cut chipboard. The cutting force is over 800g of force to cut. It can cut any size images with my cutting mat which measures 13 inches wide by 22 inches long.  With my Silhouette I have been having lots of problems cutting thick cardstock like Bazzil and cutting out small images. Going back and forth adjusting the settings and changing the blades worn me out!  I really had enough of that!! I was getting discouraged on how my cut outs were coming out.  But not with my new KNK! I’ve been back to scrapbooking and have made a lot of layouts making flowers, swirls, circle, squares, letters……..the possibilities are endless with this machine.

The best part……..NO CARTRIDGES!!! No buying those expensive $70 and up cartridges.  Don’t get me wrong, I do like the Cricut, but I really don’t see myself buying them.  With the KNK, I can download a lot of FREE downloads.  What’s so cool and amazing about this machine, I can import my Quikutz Silhouette files into the KNK Studio Max software it comes with. I read reviews that you can’t but I certainly have no problems what so ever importing my QK library to my KNK! I’m so super excited about this machine! It’s the best birthday present ever!  Thanks honey!!

So you interested in getting one? Go over to Sandy McCauley website to read a lot more info about this machine and other one’s too.  She is so helpful and will guide you which machine to buy. Just click on her name and it will take you the her website.

Here are some close up pics of my new machine!

Well got to go now, I’m off to do some scrapbook layouts……….got lots of pics to scrapbook!!

Have a good one!

Love Card for Treehouse Thursday Challenge #34

Love Card for Treehouse Thursday Challenge #34

Hey Stampers!

Before I begin blogging about my card creation, I want to say one special thing to my wonderful hubby.  Happy Birthday Honey Bun! Wishing you the best day ever! I’m so blessed to have you in my life. Wishing you a wonderful, Happy Birthday ever! So excited for you today because I have lot’s of surprises planned out for you today…hehehe! Not only do I {heart} surprises but I {heart} to surprise you! So much fun because you have NO clue what so ever!! I’m sooooo snicky!  So,  my stamper friends, I can’t tell you exactly what I have planned because that will just ruin the surprise, but for sure I’ll make a posting of my hubby’s surprise soon!

Ok now! Let’s chat about today’s card! Well it’s Thursday, which means another fun Thursday Challenge over at Treehouse Stamps Blog.  Today’s challenge is to create a card, craft, scrapbook page, anything that your sweet heart desires adding 2 important things…………..Flowers and Butterfly’s!

I wanted to whip out my Silhouette and create a design background to add for my flower.  So I cut up a leafy background.  I added it on top to a piece of transparency paper. Of course I had to whip out my sewing machine and add some single and zig zag stitching to my card.

So come on over at Treehouse Stamps Blog and join me along with the rest of the Design Team and add your creation to Mr. Linky! Can’t wait to see what you create!

I used Kraft Cardstock, the card measures 5 3/4 x 5.  I’ve been really, really into Kraft Cardstock lately! It’s so versatile, it simply goes with anything! You should see the scrapbook pages I made with my Kraft Cardstock.  {heart} it!

This large flower before was a plain white flower. I used my Tattered Angel mist and sprayed different colors to give it a beautiful color and shimmer to it! I {heart} that stuff!  In the middle I applied some Flower Soft to give it some fuzziness like a real flower would have. For the leaf background, I used my Silhoutte Quikutz to cut it out and layered it on top a clear transparent paper.  The easy way to adhere to clear transparent paper is to use a spray adhesive glue.

For the design paper I used Basic Grey Urban Prairie 6×6 paper pad and ribbon I used Satin/Reversible 3/8″ Stitched Edge Blue/Green.  For the stamp image “LOVE”, I used my set  called Owlentine which you can get all these products at Treehouse Stamps Store.  For the envelope, I used my Quikutz Silhouette to cut it out!

Have a good one!
