Happy Mother’s Day!

Happy Mother’s Day!

Hello and Happy Happy Sunday, but above all Happy Mother’s Day to all my stamper friends who are mommies and mommies to be!

Wanted to share with ya some cute Circle Purse bags I made using my KNK Groove-e.  I got this idea from Angie – ChicNScratch from a YouTube Video that I saw. I thought these were so adorable, that I had to try to do some for myself.  I don’t have the Stampin-up supplies that Angie uses in her video.  So I basically used my KNK Groove-e software and did the 6′ circle and cut the oval shape inside the circle.

So to see Angie’s Circle Bag, here’s the clip on how you can make one too!

And this is what I came up with. I used heavy design paper from DCWV collection called The Luxury Stack.

{Circle Purse Bag} Supplies:

Design Paper from DCWV The Luxery Colleciton, Cuddle Bug Embossing Swirl Folder, Prima Flowers, Glimmer Mist in Viva Pink, Prima Pearls in White, Zig-zag stitching with sewing machine. Ribbon, Buttons, small white bags for the inside.

Celebrating our 7th Wedding Anniversary

Celebrating our 7th Wedding Anniversary

Hi! Friends!

Yesterday, April 20th, 2010. We celebrated our 7th Wedding Anniversary. Jeff my hubby was so sweet and very romantic he planned out a wonderful dinner at The Melting Pot in Brea, California.  Both of us never been there before so it was an experience in itself.  A fondue meal to celebrate our special occasion.

So here are some pics of the special event!

The Melting Pot in Brea, California

My honey is so sweet! There were rose petals on the table, long stem rose, candles lit up.

We got this scroll with our Wedding date and events that happened on that day and year.

For starters we had the Cheese Fondue and Caesar Salad. We dipped our cubed bread, veggies and apples for dipping. The cheese fondue we had is Traditional Swiss Cheese Fondue. It had Gruyere & Emmenthaler Swiss Cheeses, white wine, garlic, nutmeg, lemon and Kirschwasser. It was sooooooo yummy!

After we were done with our Cheese Fondue and Salad, it was time for our main course. For our cooking style we picked Coq au Vin Fondue. Flavors of fresh herbs, mushrooms, garlic, spices and burgundy wine.

And here is our main course! We had the Pacific Island Big Nite out.

Jeff cooking the Large Kiwi Lime Shrimp…..ummm! so good!

After dinner was done…..time for dessert! The best part of the meal! Time for dipping!

And to pick my chocolate Fondue. The Cookies N Cream Marshmallow Dream……..with White Chocolate of course! And pieces of crunchy peanut butter and Oreo’s!

And some champagne and strawberries!……..Oh yeah!

Perfect dinner to celebrate a special occasion!! It was such a wonderful and special dinner. I’ll never forget this day! Thank you honey! I’m so blessed to have you in my life!

Happy Anniversary + Treehouse Thursday Challenge #44

Happy Anniversary + Treehouse Thursday Challenge #44

Hey Stampers! Happy Thursday to ya!

I’m hoping my sister in law doesn’t peak in to see this card I made for the happy couple.  Next week my dear brother and his wife Vienna will be celebrating their 3 year Wedding Anniversary.  And I’m so happy that Vienna is doing very well with her pregnancy. The baby is due in October, so we are so super excited and can’t wait!

So for today’s card I used for Treehouse Thursday Challenge.  The challenge is to create a card using the colors: Yellow, Lavender and a Neutral. To create this card I used my KNK Groove-e to cut the flower petal. This flower petal is from the Quikutz Silhoutte Library. I cut out a circle as well and did some zig zag sewing along the border. Used a large white Prima Flower and Glimmer Mist it and used some stickles.

The butterfly I printed it out is from The Treehouse Stamp Store called “Spring Is In The Air” . I printed it out and embossed it with my Cuddle Bug Polka Dots embossing folder and mounted it on top of the flower. Used some lavender fibers and stamped it with a Heroarts sentiment.  Buttons used are from Basic Grey.

So Sweet….

So Sweet….

Hey Stampers! Happy Wednesday to ya!

Ok, so I’m going through this mood right now that I’ve been really interested in doing some scrapbook pages. I’ve noticed when going through my computer files that I have tons and tons of pics but no where are they printed and placed in a album….how sad! So, I decided that this year I’m going to go back to where it all started. Yes, I’m going to start scrapbooking my pictures. I remember many years ago that’s what I used to love doing! But then lately, I got into card making and then my scrapbooking hobby just started to fade away. I’ll definitely continue to do cards but need to start scrapbooking some of my pictures I have in my computer files.

So to start with a new fresh to this blog, here is my 1st layout I did last night. Something simple nothing fancy. I really love how it turned out.

{So Sweet} Supplies:

Design paper: Me & My Big Ideas, DCWV Pink CS

Embellies: Fiskars Scallop Border Punch, American Crafts Thickers, White, and Pink Polka Dot Ribbon from Michaels, Buttons from Basic Grey, Butterflies from K & Company, Heroarts Gemstones

Hey There Chic!! Treehouse Thursday Challenge #37

Hey There Chic!! Treehouse Thursday Challenge #37

Happy Thursday Stampers!

It’s another fun Thursday over at The Treehouse Blog! Today’s fun challenge is to include paper piecing somewhere on your card or project using any theme.

Since I love using my sewing technique on my cards, I thought I incorporate my creation to today’s challenge.  Today’s image I’m using is from a new release that is coming soon over at Treehouse Stamps on February 24th, 2010.  Easter is coming soon, so I thought I get started on some Easter cards. This image set is called Easter Chicks.  I opened Treehouse Digi image on Photoshop and colored the image using my color palette brush. The  sentiment is also from Treehouse Stamps.  I printed it out and cut it with my circle nesti.  To find this image and a whole lot more visit Treehouse Stamps! Card measures 3 1/2 x 4 1/2 inches.
