My Valentine!

Hope you all had a nice Valentine’s Day!  I think every day should be Valentine’s Day………Why does it have to be celebrated once a year? Just don’t get it!!

My Valentine’s Day……….well I spent it mostly on the couch! Yeah, I got the 24 hour bug virus. But no worries, I’m better now.  But boy, when it hits you it hit’s you hard! So my honey went to the drug store and bought me some remedies and took care of me through out the night.

But I just wanted to share with you, who my top Valentino is……..yeah, it’s my hubby BUT someone else shares my love too!  My nephew Jacob of course! So here’s a pic of me and him together!  I love this little guy!!!

Baby Shower Party Favors

Hey Stampers!

Hope your having a nice cool day! It’s been pretty darn hot here in California! But I’m sure it’s a lot hotter in the other states.  The hottest it’s been here is 101 degrees!

So I’ve been working up a storm in my craft room creating some baby shower party favors. Now tell me, aren’t these the cutest little things? Oh my gosh I love them so much! Took me weeks to create but they’re finally done!  For the paper I used DCWV – Nana’s Nursery Baby Boy 12×12 paper I used my QK Silhouette Library and downloaded Baby Shoe. Instead of using my Silhouette I used my KNK Groove.  I love, love, love this machine!! It’s so powerful and fast!

For the goodies inside, I bought Wilton’s Baby Pacifier Candies. Wrapped them inside some white tulle and tied them with a special order of ribbon.  Added some mini baby blue pacifiers.

For my next project I’m working on is a baby diaper cake that I’m working on.  So stay tuned for that!  For now here are some pics of the baby shower party favors I made.  If you have any questions, just comment on my blog!

Happy Friday the 13th Stampers!! Nothing creepy about this posting….it’s all about love or should I say Amore’!

Kristina Werner is now having every Thursday a Basic Inspiration Scrapbooking Class.  I simply love Kristina’s style of cardmaking and scrapbooking.  She’s such an inspiration to me!  So if you haven’t seen her video tutorials come over and visit her at KWernerDesign.

So for this class, I followed her layout.  I used some Basic Grey paper as well, but lost the main page of the title…..lol!  So I used her basic techniques she used in her video but added some changes to it.

Those 2 love birds are my parents. We went to this Mexican Restuarant called Casa Sanchez and they had awesome food and entertainment. Being together for so many years and still in love!

Eclipse

Hi-ya friends!

I went to go see Eclipse the movie on Sunday night at 11p! Yeah, call me crazy! I usually don’t go see movies this late but I had to!! I was going into withdrawals……lol!  We were watching a special Jimmy Kimmel show, & he had a special show with all the actors of Eclipse and showing some small scenes of the movie.  During the time watching tv, all I was doing was going ga-ga over the movie.  So, my dear hubby took me and we watched it!  And all I have to say is seriously……3 letters! “O-M-G!”

Then yesterday on Monday, I got together with my sister in law Vienna and I took her to watch it! Yes, I saw it again for the 2nd time!  Of course I enjoyed it twice again!……Loved it!

Really, this movie was so much better than Twilight and New Moon.  Don’t get me wrong, I LOVED both the movies but this one was jammed packed with action, suspense and of course lots of love!  You got to see Edward and Jacob together working together talking, fighting, and also trying to work as a team.

Don’t want to give away to much if you haven’t see it, but if  your a Twifan like me and haven’t seen it! GO!

Good-Bye My Friend

Hello Crafty Friends!

Sad news today, my dear little buddy Rudy passed away today.  I know dwarf hamsters have a short life span 1 to 2 years.  But, I didn’t really expect my little Rudykins to pass so suddenly.

Last night around 11:30p before I went to bed, I saw him and he was his normal self.  He was running around and playing in his little exercise wheel. But then this morning around 9am, I found him laying outside his little tikki house. I called his name and he didn’t move. I knew instantly something was wrong. He couldn’t walk, the only movement he made was wiggle around.  I held him and wrapped him in his little blanket.  Through out the time I knew he wasn’t going to make it.  I cried and told him it was ok to go God and with all the little angels.  After 20 minutes, he was gone.

I’ll always remember the special moments of my little Rudykins.  Usually before I go to bed I take him out to pet him and give him little good night kisses and give him a small treat.  He was the sweetest little thing ever. He loved playing, and climbing up my arm and hang out on my shoulder.  Even my 2 dogs and cat got used to him while I put him in his purple ball and he be rolling around in the living room.

Yeah, I’m going to miss the little fellow so much. Never did he once bite me. He was such a sweet, sweet little hamster.  I made a special scrapbook page layout in dedication to him.  Rest In Peace my little friend, I’m sure going to miss you so much!

For this card I used Treehouse Stamps Digi Set called Embrace Life. I colored it on my Photoshop Elements software and printed it twice and added pop dots to give it a double layer look.  For the stamp sentiment, I used Hero Arts. Ribbon is from Martha Stewart Collection.
