Good-Bye My Friend

Hello Crafty Friends!

Sad news today, my dear little buddy Rudy passed away today.  I know dwarf hamsters have a short life span 1 to 2 years.  But, I didn’t really expect my little Rudykins to pass so suddenly.

Last night around 11:30p before I went to bed, I saw him and he was his normal self.  He was running around and playing in his little exercise wheel. But then this morning around 9am, I found him laying outside his little tikki house. I called his name and he didn’t move. I knew instantly something was wrong. He couldn’t walk, the only movement he made was wiggle around.  I held him and wrapped him in his little blanket.  Through out the time I knew he wasn’t going to make it.  I cried and told him it was ok to go God and with all the little angels.  After 20 minutes, he was gone.

I’ll always remember the special moments of my little Rudykins.  Usually before I go to bed I take him out to pet him and give him little good night kisses and give him a small treat.  He was the sweetest little thing ever. He loved playing, and climbing up my arm and hang out on my shoulder.  Even my 2 dogs and cat got used to him while I put him in his purple ball and he be rolling around in the living room.

Yeah, I’m going to miss the little fellow so much. Never did he once bite me. He was such a sweet, sweet little hamster.  I made a special scrapbook page layout in dedication to him.  Rest In Peace my little friend, I’m sure going to miss you so much!

Tea Time With You!

Happy late Thursday Stampers or should I say Happy Friday now!  So sorry that I’ve been MIA, but life has been so busy here! Working full time as an RN on a very busy Medical Surgical Telemetry Unit doing 12 hrs shift 4 days a week plus taking online classes and then being a wife…….well just by saying that, you can tell I have a busy schedule.  So, sometimes I don’t have much time during my days off to be as creative has I want to.  But I can say that I’am finally…….yes, finally off for 3 days!  Were off to taking as I call it a mini vacation! Just relax and kick-back and enjoy our weekend!

Our plans for this Friday is go over to Camarillo, Ca and have a nice brunch with family who live out there and then head out to the Camarillo Premium Outlet Stores. And then on Saturday will go to San Gabriel Mission and take a tour and take photos.  And then for Sunday, will play it by ear…… But I’m just excited to be off and just relax with my hubby! :)

So it’s Treehouse Thursday over at The Treehouse Blog! I totally loved this Color Challenge that Gloria Morizen picked out for this week!  Today’s challenge is to create with the colors Pink, Mellow Moss and White, plus 1 color of your choice.  So, for this week’s challenge I used the new Tea Stamp Digital Set called Tea Time.

Wanted to create a vintage card using lace and distress inks.  Hope you like my card for this challenge.

Love how the lace and satin look together. I used Prima Flowers and a Hero Arts Gemstone.

Printed out my cup of tea and sentiment on some cream cardstock. Used my scalloped nesties and Tim Holtz distress ink in Walnut Stain. Added some Hero Arts pearls to the tea cup.

Join me and the rest of the creative design team at The Treehouse Blog and submit your card. We love to see what you come up with using these fun colors!

Have  a good one!
