Spring Showers Bring May Flowers

Spring Showers Bring May Flowers
Happy Tuesday!
I was trying to organize my stamps yesterday. I have my wooden stamps and clear stamps here and there.  So, while organizing my things I found a lot of things that I had bought which I totally had forgotton about.  Doesn’t it happen to you that you go buy things and next thing you know you have 2 of the same things???  I’m sure you stampers know exactly what I’m talking about.
While going thru my stash I had forgotten that I had this Rachael Ann Miller clear stamp that I had boughten from TreeHouseStamps.  So for sure I wanted to play with this stamp image.
This card I played along with Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #61.  Haven’t done these challenges for a while.  The only thing I did for this challenge was I kinda sort of tweeked it a little bit.
When I used this Rachelle Ann Miller stamp the first thing I thought was Spring Showers.  So I found some Springy paper in my stash and wanted to use pastel colors for this card.  I love how I called this card.  ”Spring Showers Bring May Flowers”….. so cute huh?

Now I’m barely getting use to my new Copic Markers that I bought.  I really, really love how the colors pop up.  But since I’m learning, I was watching a video from StampTV and didn’t know that for Copic Markers you have to use Momento Black Ink…………..didn’t know that.  Since I didn’t have that brand of Ink had to use my Black Stazon ink pad.  I really, really tried to be careful when I was coloring the image, but was a dissappointed that my little girl and boy image face smeared just a little bit.  But you live and learn right!  So sooner or later I have to buy some of that Momento ink soon.
I simply love, LOVE creating a dimensional pop-up look on my stamp images. And as well using my sewing machine.  For the inside of the card I cut up white card stock and made a straight stitch around the cardstock and used place it inside of the card.
I added lots of ribbon and buttons to give it the finale touch! And of course lots and lots of Stickles! I thought this card came out cute and so precious. What do you think?

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look at my Scrapy Crafty Creations!
Hugs!

  1. Great job colouring, that image is so cute! If you heat emboss the image with clear deatail embossing powder you won’t get the smearing. Hope that helps until you get the Memento ink!

  2. Wow! Super cute card :) I would never believe you are new to Copics – you’re a pro with that beautifully colored image. Thanks for the comment!

ps – Memento ink is worth it! No worries about smudging or having to take the extra time to heat set.
